I’ve heard a lot of the flak that Tom Brady gets, and i just don’t understand it. Especially when ignorant sports fans (who i’ve labelled as the worst, lowest, level of humanity) try to say he’s bad because he’s a bitch. Which i’ll admit, the guy’s a bitch lol. But he’s New England’s bitchy pretty boy QB with 3 rings and clutch instincts like no other. 

BUT! enough of my crazed obsession with (IMO) the greatest QB to ever touch a football.

How about some stats?

16-6 in the playoffs, fairly certain the only person who even comes close is peyton manning, maybe roflburger.

He has the most rings out of any active QB with 3, roflburger and eli manning have 2, peyton has 1, brees has 1, rodgers has 1, i apologize if i forgot any.

Now, let’s consider those numbers when put on the back drop of the team around Brady. Rodgers won his ring with Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, Donald Driver, a DIESEL offensive line, and Jermichael Finley at TE. Peyton’s played with marvin harrison and reggie wayne. the list goes on. Now, that’s not discrediting any of those guys. Peyton Manning is obviously a stupidly accurate and an amazing QB, so is rodgers, so is brees, fuck eli manning, roflburger’s great, but now let’s consider the teams Brady played around. I understand that the teams of old were heavily carried by the likes of bruschi, law, mcgninist, lawyer malloy, and the rest of that great D. However, if you look on offense, deion branch was really the only #1 looking reciever out of all of those guys. David Givens, Troy Brown, David Patton, all good receivers but none of them will go down in history like Marvin Harrison will. none of those guys are going down like Donald Driver will. The only legend Brady ever played with was a decaying Randy Moss and look what happens. every record of QB > WR ever was broken in a single season. And here’s where i throw in another obligatory fuck eli. But anyways, we won’t go down that path. 

Tom Brady is 3-2 in the Superbowl. Now, the point of this whole story is that if another fucking eagles fan thug comes up to me and tells me that Mike Vick is a better QB than Tom Brady, because Brady lost 2 superbowls (EVEN THO MIKE VICK WILL NEVER GO NEAR A SUPERBOWL APPEARANCE), i might explode.

EDIT: Also, i’m always open for logical intelligent criticism on my opinions, or an ACTUAL reason for why Brady isn’t the best active QB, i’d always love to hear someone explain logically why they think he isn’t.

I Really hope. REALLY. hope. that the patriots’ financial machine upstairs doesn’t shut this kid down. He’s literally the greatest player ever in the history of D2 football, and has all the combine numbers that match up with RAY RICE, JAMAAL CHARLES, AND CHRIS JOHNSON. The dude is fast as hell, not to mention one of the most elusive runners i’ve ever watched due to his specialty of disappearing behind the offensive line. I still remember reading the NFL.com article that said we activated lawfirm from the practice squad and picked up some ex-jet gadget RB with the last name “Woodhead”, after releasing maroney. lawfirm (benjarvus green ellis) would go on to have a 1000 yard season and keep that magical stat that i won’t mention across TWO seasons as a full time starter in the NFL, woody got 900 yards from scrimage (pass + run). 

My only fear now, is with the departure of benjarvus green ellis (one of my favorite Patriots, ever) and the additions of vereen, ridley, and addai, woody will slowly be phased out of the offense in similar fashion to julian edleman. The thing that builds this fear is that we’ve already begun the transition of him to a special teams role. However, his transition isn’t going as smoothly as jules’ did two season ago. Woodhead lacks punt returning skills and after the fumble on that kick return against the jets, i don’t know that i trust him on KRs either. and i know for a FACT he can’t play a MLB QB Spy like edleman can. 

So yeah, there’s my thoughts on a subject that’s been bugging me, at 8 AM.
